Canadian psych project built on fuzz-caked riffs and lo-fi haze — motorik garage rock recorded rough and played tight.

GHOSTWOMAN is the project of Canadian musician Evan Uschenko, who writes and records the material largely himself before taking it out with a live band. The recordings are deliberately rough — fuzzed guitars, buried vocals, tape-warped textures — but the songs underneath are tightly constructed, often riding a steady motorik pulse closer to krautrock than to conventional garage rock.

The result sits between psychedelia, stoner rock and lo-fi pop, with reverb-heavy production that blurs the edges of otherwise direct riffs. GHOSTWOMAN's live shows are noticeably tighter and louder than the recordings suggest.
