About Francisca Valenzuela
Francisca Valenzuela was born in San Francisco to Chilean parents and moved to Chile as a child. She published a book of poetry as a teenager before turning to music, and the songs on her debut, including "Peces" and the title track, made her a fixture of Chilean radio.
Later albums such as Buen soldado and Tajo abierto pushed her piano pop toward electronic production and fuller arrangements, and La fortaleza arrived in 2020. Away from her own records she founded Ruidosa, a platform that campaigns for women working in Latin American music.
