Control Freak
New York producer who came up on hard dubstep and moved into trap on Sable Valley, with big room and bass house creeping into the newer records.
About Control Freak
Control Freak is James Clark, a New York-based producer and touring DJ. He made his name on hard-hitting dubstep, releasing collaborations with Wooli, Ray Volpe, Space Laces and Barely Alive, and by the age of 23 he had played Lost Lands, Beyond Wonderland, North Coast Festival and Bass Canyon.
As his sound expanded into trap he became a core artist on RL Grime's Sable Valley label, with several releases there, among them his debut album EAT YOUR FRIENDZ. Later tracks such as 'EYES ON ME' widened his palette, newer releases pull in big room, bass house and hip-hop, and the single 'THROW YA HANDZ UP' features his own vocals.
