About Porter Robinson (DJ Set)

Porter Robinson grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and first broke through as a teenager with hard-edged electro house, including the Spitfire EP on Skrillex's OWSLA label and the 2012 single 'Language'. He then turned away from that sound for Worlds (2014), a melodic, synth-heavy album shaped by video games and anime.

He toured 'Shelter' with Madeon, and as Virtual Self he made the trance- and rave-inspired 'Ghost Voices', which earned a Grammy nomination. Nurture (2021) put his own voice and piano at the centre, and SMILE! :D (2024) moved further toward guitar-led pop. Under the Porter Robinson (DJ Set) billing he plays records from the decks in place of his live band show.
