Long-running UK bass producer moving between drum and bass, dubstep and garage tempos — sound-system weight with an unusually light touch.

Breakage is the recording name of British producer James Boyle, who has been releasing bass music since the early 2000s. He began in drum and bass, appearing on labels including Digital Soundboy, before widening his range to take in dubstep, garage and slower bassline and breaks tempos. His productions are known for combining heavy sub-bass intended for sound systems with relatively sparse, restrained arrangements, and he has worked with a number of guest vocalists across his singles and albums.
