Duo whose calling card is live pop vocals over heavyweight drops — melodic bass with a frontwoman, not just a drop reel.

Daniel Litman and Paige Lopynski met as students at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia, where Lopynski sang in the school chorus and Litman was already DJing local clubs and parties around Washington, D.C. Lopynski went on to Virginia Tech, while Litman studied briefly at Ithaca College before transferring to the University of Miami.

The pair reconnected in Miami and began recording together as Bonnie X Clyde, formed in 2015 and named after the outlaw couple. The music combines electropop, synthpop, house and trap, built around Lopynski's sung vocal lines set over heavy low-end production.

Early singles built the duo's profile quickly: 'Rise Above' was followed by 'Bass Jam', which reached number one on Sirius XM's dance chart. The duo signed to Interscope Records in late 2016 and released their debut EP, 'Wanted', the following year through Interscope and Insomniac.

Lopynski's vocals are sung live rather than left to backing tracks, carrying the hook-driven melodies that set the group apart from strictly instrumental producers in the bass scene. Once based in Miami, the duo now work out of Los Angeles, and their song 'What Love Can Do' gave them their first number-one on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart.
