Shwayze is the stage name of Aaron Smith, a rapper from Malibu, California, who came to attention in 2008 through his collaboration with producer and singer Cisco Adler. Their self-titled album paired laid-back verses with sung, acoustic-leaning hooks, and produced the singles "Buzzin'" and "Corona and Lime", both of which became summer radio fixtures. The pair also appeared in an MTV reality series documenting their touring life, which helped cement the sun-and-sand image that the music traded on.
