Palmyra is a folk trio from Virginia, formed in 2020. All three members write and sing lead, trading the front position from song to song and joining together for the close three-part harmony that anchors the group's sound. Their arrangements draw on old-time and string-band instrumentation while staying rooted in contemporary songwriting, and much of their reputation has come from live performance, where they often gather around a single microphone.
