About DJ Seinfeld
DJ Seinfeld is the Swedish producer Armand Jakobsson, who has also released music as Rimbaudian. He picked the Seinfeld name after watching the sitcom through a breakup, and his early tracks fit the dusty, tape-hissed lo-fi house sound that spread online in the mid-2010s. The debut album 'Time Spent Away From U' (2017) came out on Lobster Theremin. It paired muffled house beats with melancholy pads and pitched vocal snippets.
He later signed to Ninja Tune for 'Mirrors' (2021), a cleaner, more melodic record. On it, garage and breakbeat rhythms carry the emotional tone of the earlier work into bigger club arrangements.
